Kenyon's Student Gets Promoted
Belt Promotion
The Tiny Tots Karate and Martial Arts program at Kenyon's Soo Bahk Do is dedicated to the younger Soo Bahk Do practioner. Often a friend, parent or grandparent sparks this interest in the martial arts and our form of traditional Korean Karate.

The Tiny Tots Children's Karate program gives students the time they need to learn the basic physical and mental skills needed to advance in the martial arts and to be a positive member of our community.

Students learn techniques in a fun and encouraging environment from Master Instructors who in most cases also started at an early age.

The program is designed for children 4 to  6 years old with a focus on developing;
  • Self Discipline and Control of their body. ("Hands to yourself")
  • Concentration and the use of their mind
  • A positive attitude and desire to always try their best
As part of our instruction Children will learn to count in Korean and Mandarin Chinese, learn about the cultures that have shaped our art form and practice behaviors that teach respect for parents, adults and other students. Although Martial Arts is a striking and combative art form its focus is on training so not to fight and avoid hurting others.

Advancement in the program is based on each individual's capability in learning the techniques of our Martial Art and their readiness for advancement. Children earn patches for their uniform and stripes on their belts which signify their progress and readiness to move to the next level in their martial arts training.

Concepts such as courage and respect are regularly woven into the teachings as well as focus and concentration; better preparing children for the demands of school and challenges they will face as they grow older.
